Fitness Trainer

Planet Fitness is hiring for Fitness Trainer

The Fitness Trainer is responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This role includes assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct and manage the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.

• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on safe and proper equipment use.

• Create bi-weekly exercise updates.

• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.

Assist with front desk activities, including:

• Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with questions.

• Checking members into the system.

• New member sign-up.

• Taking prospective members on tours.

• Responding to member questions and concerns timely and professionally, escalating to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Passion for fitness and health.

• Upbeat and positive attitude.

• Punctuality and reliability.

• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.

• Strong listening skills with ability to empathize and problem solve.

• Demonstrates diplomacy in all interactions using appropriate behavior and language.

• Current CPR Certification required.

• Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands:

• Continual standing and walking during shift.

• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.

• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

• May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
