As a Member Experience Representative at Planet Fitness, you play a vital role in shaping a hospitable and encouraging environment to enhance the member experience. Your primary obligation is to offer outstanding customer service during the evening hours and oversee the club's operations as it approaches closing time. This includes tasks such as coordinating member check-ins, resolving inquiries, maintaining cleanliness, and completing closing procedures like making a bank deposit.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude when greeting and receiving members, potential members, and guests.
• Ensure top-level customer care by aiding members with account inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and providing assistance when needed.

Handle all front desk tasks, including:

• Answering phones
• Recording member arrivals electronically
• Acquiring new sign-ups
• Offering guided visits of the club
• Amending member account records

• Assist in ensuring the club remains clean and organized by taking care of light cleaning duties and promptly reporting any maintenance concerns.
• Perform the necessary steps to settle the register and arrange the day's earnings for the bank deposit at the end of each shift.
• Respect and adhere to all club policies and protocols to uphold a secure, sanitized, and unbiased ambiance.
• Partner with colleagues and managers to ensure the continuity of the Planet Fitness brand and culture.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of high school or obtaining a GED is a foundational requirement for this role
• A person needs to be 18 years old or above
• Previous exposure to customer service is beneficial
• Effective communication and the capability to resolve issues are important competencies to possess
• Amicable, spirited, and steadfast
• Essential computer proficiencies include knowledge of software like Microsoft Office and systems for registering members as they arrive
• Proficient in managing responsibilities individually during nighttime hours
• Maintaining a professional, reliable, and punctual approach without fail
• Dedicated to advocating for healthy living, working out, and supporting others

Physical Requirements

• The job requires the individual to be able to stand and walk for extended periods during their shift
• Repeated interactions involving phone calls and direct communication
• Skillful in lifting up to 50 pounds intermittently
• May have contact with various cleaning supplies and chemicals
• Prepared to work evening and night shifts, including weekends and holidays as the situation demands
