About the Role

As a Cleaning Ambassador at Planet Fitness, you play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members and guests. Your efforts help maintain the high standards of hygiene and upkeep that define the Planet Fitness Judgement Free Zone® experience. You’ll be responsible for ensuring every corner of the club looks its best while delivering friendly customer service that makes members feel valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and gym floors following Planet Fitness standards.

• Restock locker rooms with necessary supplies such as paper products and toiletries.

• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.

• Monitor and report any broken or malfunctioning equipment or amenities to management.

• Follow the Lost and Found policy by promptly handing over found items to club leadership.

• Assist with general upkeep and cleaning tasks assigned by management to maintain a tidy and inviting facility.

• Support the Judgement Free Zone® by interacting courteously with members and guests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous custodial or cleaning experience is a plus but not required.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Honest with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and handle interactions professionally.

• Ability to pass a background check as required.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.

• Capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 80 lbs.

• Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
