The Gym Manager holds accountability for the gym's overall operations and achievements. These duties encompass guaranteeing an exceptional member journey, upholding a favorable club atmosphere, guiding a team that excels, and achieving financial targets. The preferred individual for this role will be a proactive manager, enthusiastic about wellness, client satisfaction, and team enhancement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment, selection, training, organizing shifts, and overseeing of club team personnel.
- Guarantee that all employees consistently provide outstanding service to members.
- Offer direct assistance with reception duties: greeting guests, giving tours, addressing questions, and finding solutions to issues.
- Keep the club atmosphere tidy, welcoming, and inspiring.
- Oversee and mentor team members to ensure they achieve company service and operational benchmarks.
- Make sure the gym opens and closes on time according to the set schedule.
- Educate employees on the latest marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
- Finish the management segment of the new employee orientation process on Paycom.
- Supervise the staffing to guarantee adequate club coverage throughout operating hours.
- Uphold and exemplify the rules, protocols, and ethical guidelines established by the organization.
- Oversee the procurement of club supplies and implement inventory management procedures.

Physical Demands
- Required to be on your feet and in motion for a minimum of 75% of the work period.
- Being capable of articulating thoughts clearly and maintaining a professional demeanor is essential for most of the duration at work, whether it is in face-to-face interactions or over the phone.
- At times, there may be a need to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, though this is not a common occurrence, accounting for less than 30% of the workload.
