Role and Responsibilities:

The Diesel Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing trucks, trailers, and yard tractors to ensure they are safe and compliant with federal regulations. This role involves working with advanced equipment and technology in a high-performance maintenance environment.

• Troubleshoot and repair lift trucks, pallet jacks, and cat fork trucks
• Repair hydraulics, motor and drive units, tires, wheels, and related components
• Perform basic programming for rolling stock modules and repair/replace cylinders
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems, including electrical and mechanical components
• Troubleshoot Graphical Monitoring Systems (GMS), sortview controllers, programmable logic controllers, and pick-to-light systems
• Fabricate machine parts when necessary
• Conduct preventative maintenance on fleet and equipment
• Operate equipment such as battery changers and scrubber/sweeper machines
• Perform routine building maintenance, including light plumbing and electrical repairs
• Repair racking systems and ensure consistent adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year experience working on Class A trucks
• Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Prior welding and fabrication experience
• Ability to perform DOT inspections and ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Tire repair experience, including mounting and dismounting

Compensation and Benefits:

• Earn up to $23.85 per hour, paid weekly
