Role and Responsibilities

As a Retail Store Management Trainee, you will assist in managing day-to-day store operations while learning the skills necessary for a Store Manager role. You will:

• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues efficiently
• Train, coach, and support team members to meet FirstCash standards
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding new talent
• Open and close the store, handle cash and inventory, and secure customer loans
• Analyze financial statements and help drive profitability
• Manage inventory, merchandising, store presentation, and enterprise-level reporting
• Act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence
• Complete required training and development tasks

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of retail management experience
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Strong supervisory and analytical skills
• Ability to work a flexible 45+ hour schedule including weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Cash handling experience required
• Proficiency in Point-of-Sale systems and office equipment
• Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in multiple store locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
• Experience working with firearms (must be firearms certified)

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Rate: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour
• Commission: Up to 8% based on gross profit, potentially earning an additional $4.21/hour
• Bonuses: Based on store performance
