Role and Responsibilities:

The Forklift Operator plays a vital role in the efficient operation of our distribution center by safely handling merchandise to ensure smooth warehouse flow and timely store deliveries.

• Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to move merchandise within the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage racks.
• Inspect merchandise for damages and verify accuracy against shipment paperwork.
• Assist in organizing and palletizing products to prepare for shipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Support warehouse team members with additional tasks such as inventory counts and order picking.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts); prior experience preferred but not required—training provided.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Basic communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
