Role and Responsibilities:

The Store Clerk plays a vital role in retail operations, contributing to an exceptional customer experience while supporting store organization and merchandising. Responsibilities include customer service, inventory management, and maintaining store cleanliness.

• Greet and assist customers, providing friendly and efficient service and helping locate merchandise as needed.
• Receive and unload deliveries, inspect shipments for accuracy and quality, and stock merchandise appropriately.
• Follow plan-o-grams to organize shelves, rotate stock to maintain freshness, and ensure a neat and appealing sales floor.
• Create and maintain product displays and promotional setups to attract customers and promote sales.
• Operate cash registers and POS systems to complete transactions, process payments, and issue receipts accurately.
• Maintain a clean store environment, including sweeping, mopping, restroom upkeep, and trash removal.
• Assist with inventory tasks including stock counts, discrepancy reporting, and order placement using handheld scanners or store tools.
• Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and loss prevention procedures to ensure a secure store environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math proficiency for handling cash and operating registers.
• Ability to interpret plan-o-grams and merchandising guidelines accurately.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Physical ability to lift merchandise, stand for long periods, and perform manual labor tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with handheld inventory devices and POS systems.
