Role and Responsibilities

We are currently hiring a Retail Store Assistant Manager Trainee who will help manage day-to-day store operations while gaining the leadership skills needed for a future Store Manager position. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering outstanding customer service and resolving customer concerns effectively

• Training, mentoring, and supporting team members to meet operational and service standards

• Assisting in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process

• Managing daily cash handling, store opening/closing tasks, and loan processing

• Reviewing financial reports to support store profitability and performance

• Overseeing inventory control, product merchandising, and store appearance

• Serving as the acting manager during the Store Manager’s absence

• Completing required training and participating in leadership development programs

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail management role

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification

• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule of 45+ hours per week, including weekends and holidays

• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Experience with handling cash and operating POS systems

• Ability to multitask, work independently, and adapt to a fast-paced environment

• Flexibility to work at multiple store locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

• Experience handling firearms and relevant certifications are a plus

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $18.00 to $24.00, depending on experience and location

• Commission: Up to 8% of gross profit, with average potential earnings of an additional $4.21/hour

• Performance Bonuses: Based on store metrics and achievements

• Paid Vacation:

  • 1 week after 6 months

  • 2 weeks after 1 year

  • Up to 120 hours annually after 5 years

• Paid Sick/Personal Time:

  • 8 hours after 6 months

  • 16 hours per year from years 2 to 5

  • 24 hours annually after 5 years
