Fitness Club Assistant

Planet Fitness is hiring for Fitness Club Assistant

By working alongside the Club Manager, the Fitness Club Assistant assists in monitoring gym operations to establish a Judgement Free environment that enriches member experience and contributes to the club's financial well-being.

Principal duties and key responsibilities

• Provide assistance in building, selecting, coaching, and empowering a top-performing team that comprises Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.
• Cultivate a warm and customer-focused ambiance that caters to the requirements and expectations of members, guests, and individuals interested in joining.
• Help manage staff functions and take on a leadership role as needed when the Club Manager is not present.
• Collaborate in arranging and directing employees to maintain operational efficiency.
• Consistently ensure superior quality of service for all members.
• Tackle and escalate any issues or concerns employees may have.

Participate in front desk operations:

• Address phone calls with a pleasant and courteous attitude.
• Manage the sign-up of memberships and ensure members check-in efficiently.
• Plan and conduct tours for interested individuals.
• Provide assistance with member concerns and requirements.
• Assist in the regular cleaning and maintenance of the facility.
• Help is needed to organize the procurement of supplies while adhering to the financial guidelines of the organization.
• Monitor and report key club statistics on a recurring basis, both weekly, monthly, and annually.
• Make sure that operational tasks can continue in the absence of key staff members.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills, particularly within the realm of fitness services.
• Having firsthand experience as a Member Service Representative at Planet Fitness is a positive factor.
• Confirmed expertise in overseeing, negotiation, and effective listening.
• Essential understanding of computers (Microsoft Office programs).
• Exhibiting a dynamic, passionate, and committed demeanor.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• It is mandatory to have a recent CPR Certification.
• Attainment of either a high school diploma or an equivalent GED qualification.
• The minimum age requirement is 18 years and above.

Physical Demands

• Continuous standing and walking are essential job requirements.
• Frequent verbal dialogues, taking place either in face-to-face encounters or via phone calls.
• Able to handle loads of up to 50 lbs as needed.
• May face exposure to toxic cleaning products.
