Planet Fitness is hiring for Fitness Equipment Instructor

Responsibilities of the Fitness Equipment Instructor include managing the PE@PF group fitness program at Planet Fitness, guiding new members towards achieving their fitness goals through bespoke workout routines and instruction on equipment handling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct the implementation and oversight of the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, involving the creation and enforcement of the program's schedule.
• Interact with individuals to identify their fitness goals and show them the proper and safe techniques for using equipment.
• Produce regular bi-weekly updates on physical activity and fitness developments.
• Meet the club's standards regarding its size and the level of member participation.

Assist with front desk activities, including:

• Addressing phone calls warmly and guiding callers in finding information.
• Logging in individuals to the system.
• New member sign-up.
• Leading tours for prospective members.
• Handling member inquiries and concerns promptly and in a professional manner, escalating to the Assistant Manager or Manager when deemed necessary.

• Capable of actively listening, empathizing, and providing problem-solving assistance.
• Shows diplomacy by using appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
• It is mandatory to have a CPR Certification that is presently valid.
• It is necessary to hold a National Certification Training Certificate.
• The minimum educational requirement encompasses having a high school diploma or GED.
• Only those who are 18 years of age or older are eligible to join.

Physical Demands:

• Continuous standing and walking as part of the job responsibilities.
• Non-stop chatting either face-to-face or on the phone while on shift.
• Occasionally expected to carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional presence of harmful chemicals in the work environment.
