Position Summary

The Director of FP&A is responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering insightful analysis to support executive-level decision-making. This role collaborates closely with the CFO and senior leadership to develop financial forecasts, budgets, and reports that inform overall business strategy and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Lead the company’s annual budgeting process and develop long-term financial plans.

• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to assess potential business impacts.

• Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and new business opportunities.

Reporting and Performance Measurement

• Prepare and present financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.

• Develop monthly reports for shareholder and board review.

• Analyze variances between budgeted and actual results, offering actionable insights to business units.

Financial Strategy and Leadership

• Conduct regular financial reviews with department heads to ensure goal alignment and accountability.

• Mentor and develop the FP&A team, supporting executives and operations with relevant analytics.

• Collaborate with various departments including Accounting, Payroll, Development, Marketing, and Operations.

Data Analysis and Insights

• Utilize financial data and market trends to generate actionable insights for financial performance improvement.

• Implement financial modeling to assist decision-making and strategic planning.

Process Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

• Support implementation of financial systems and tools to streamline FP&A workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or certifications such as CFA or CPA preferred.

• 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis; experience in the fitness industry is a plus.

• Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Effective communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.

• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.

• Proficient with financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Experience with FP&A business intelligence systems such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
