Planet Fitness is hiring for Certified Fitness Specialist

The Certified Fitness Specialist plays a key role in administering the PE@PF group fitness program at Planet Fitness, assisting new members in reaching their fitness goals through individualized workout plans and training on equipment usage.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organize and supervise the PE@PF program at Planet Fitness, overseeing the development and monitoring of the program's timetable.
• Consult with members about their fitness aspirations and advise them on how to safely and effectively use workout tools.
• Offer bi-weekly exercise logs to track progress and performance.
• Adhere to the requirements set by the club, considering both its size and member traffic.

Assist with front desk activities, including:

• Dealing with telephone requests in a friendly manner and offering assistance.
• Verifying the identity of individuals for system entry.
• New member sign-up.
• Demonstrating the facility to potential recruits.
• Responding swiftly and professionally to member questions and concerns, escalating to the Assistant Manager or Manager as the situation dictates.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Devotion to promoting fitness and wellness.
• Cultivating a positive and upbeat approach.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Shows exemplary customer service proficiency; skilled at fostering positive and professional relationships with both clients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates strong listening capabilities, empathy, and adeptness at resolving issues.
• Exhibits discretion and tact in dealings with others by employing proper behavior and language.
• The role necessitates candidates to maintain a CPR Certification that is up to date.
• The National Certification Training Certificate is a prerequisite.
• Prospective candidates must possess either a high school diploma or an equivalent GED.
• Participation is restricted to individuals who have attained the age of 18 and above.

Physical Demands:

• Enduring standing and walking without significant breaks during the shift.
• Constant discussion in person or on the phone during working hours.
• Ability to lift loads of up to 50 lbs as needed.
• May face encounters with toxic agents periodically throughout the shift.
