Role and Responsibilities:

As a Warehouse Supervisor at Dollar General, you’ll play a key role in leading a team of warehouse associates to ensure merchandise moves accurately and efficiently through our distribution center. You’ll be responsible for meeting daily operational goals, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and supporting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

• Supervise the daily activities of warehouse associates in receiving, stocking, picking, packing, or shipping departments.
• Monitor inventory flow using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and communicate any issues or disruptions to leadership.
• Plan and delegate daily tasks to ensure productivity, quality, and safety targets are met.
• Track staffing levels and work closely with managers to ensure proper coverage based on business needs.
• Support new employee training and development in partnership with the Training Department.
• Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and operational activities.
• Promote and enforce safety programs to reduce injuries and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Assist in interviewing and hiring new team members in collaboration with Human Resources.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Working knowledge of warehouse systems (WMS preferred) and inventory processes.
• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with Kronos or similar personnel/payroll systems is a plus.
• Understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in large-scale distribution or logistics environments.
• Familiarity with lean warehouse operations or continuous improvement processes.
