Role and Responsibilities

We’re seeking a Retail Store Operations Trainee to support daily store operations while developing the leadership capabilities necessary for advancement to a Store Manager role. Responsibilities include:

• Delivering exceptional customer service and efficiently addressing customer concerns

• Supporting, training, and coaching team members to meet performance and service goals

• Assisting with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees

• Managing store opening and closing procedures, including loan processing and cash handling

• Analyzing financial reports to promote profitability and operational success

• Maintaining inventory accuracy, merchandising standards, and store presentation

• Serving as acting manager in the Store Manager’s absence

• Participating in training and leadership development programs to prepare for promotion

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a retail management or supervisory position

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

• Availability to work a flexible schedule of 45+ hours per week, including weekends and holidays

• Must be 18 years or older and able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Experience with cash handling and operating point-of-sale (POS) systems

• Ability to multitask and work both independently and in a fast-paced team environment

• Willingness to work at various store locations if needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply

• Experience with firearms handling or related certifications is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Wage: $18.00–$24.00, based on experience and location

• Commission: Up to 8% of gross profit, with an average additional earning potential of $4.21/hour

• Performance Bonuses: Tied to store performance and metrics

• Paid Time Off:

  • 1 week after 6 months

  • 2 weeks after 1 year

  • Up to 120 hours annually after 5 years

• Sick/Personal Leave:

  • 8 hours after 6 months

  • 16 hours per year from year 2–5

  • 24 hours per year after 5 years
