Job Summary

As a Customer Service Associate, you will be the face of Planet Fitness, providing outstanding service to members and guests. Your role will involve greeting visitors, assisting with membership needs, and ensuring our gym remains a clean, safe, and inviting space. Your positive attitude and helpful nature will help members feel welcome and motivated every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members, prospective members, and guests to create a welcoming atmosphere.

• Handle front desk duties, including checking in members and assisting with new member sign-ups.

• Answer phones professionally and assist callers with their questions.

• Help members with account updates and respond promptly to concerns or inquiries.

• Provide tours to prospective members and share information about Planet Fitness offerings.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and club areas.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive member experience.

• Escalate issues to management when necessary, maintaining a professional and diplomatic approach.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for fitness, health, and helping others.

• Friendly, upbeat, and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.

• Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

• Strong communication skills and ability to listen empathetically.

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.

• Comfortable talking on the phone and engaging with people face-to-face.

• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

• May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and perform light cleaning duties.
