Planet Fitness is hiring for Closer

As a Closer at Planet Fitness, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive environment for our members. Your main responsibility will be to deliver exceptional customer service during the evening shift and ensure smooth operations as the club transitions to close. You'll handle member check-ins, answer questions, maintain a clean facility, and complete closing procedures — including creating a bank deposit.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members, prospective members, and guests with a positive and friendly attitude.

• Provide top-tier customer service by assisting members with account questions, resolving concerns, and offering support as needed.

Handle all front desk tasks, including:

• Answering phones

• Checking members into the system

• Signing up new members

• Giving tours of the club

• Updating member account information

• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness throughout the club by assisting with light cleaning tasks and reporting maintenance issues.

• Accurately close out the register and prepare the daily bank deposit at the end of each shift.

• Follow all club policies and procedures to ensure a safe, clean, and judgment-free environment.

• Work collaboratively with team members and management to maintain the Planet Fitness brand and culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required

• Must be 18 years or older

• Previous customer service experience preferred

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Friendly, energetic, and dependable

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and member check-in systems)

• Comfortable working independently during evening hours

• Punctual, reliable, and professional at all times

• Passionate about health, fitness, and helping others

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift

• Frequent talking on the phone and in person

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

• May come into contact with cleaning supplies and chemicals

• Able to work evening and night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
