Role and Responsibilities:

The Lead Sales Associate plays a vital role in daily store operations by assisting with cashiering, stocking, and providing leadership support when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager is not available.

• Operate cash register efficiently to process transactions and deliver excellent customer service.
• Unload trucks and receive merchandise following company procedures.
• Stock shelves, rotate merchandise, and create product displays to maintain store presentation.
• Implement and maintain plan-o-grams for optimized product placement.
• Respond to customer inquiries and assist in locating products.
• Keep the store clean and organized, including the front-end, sales floor, stockroom, and restrooms.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as bailing cardboard and taking out trash to uphold sanitation standards.
• Act as a store leader in the absence of management by:
  • Authorizing refunds and overrides per company policies.
  • Counting registers, making deposits, and maintaining cash accountability.
  • Monitoring cash handling procedures and ensuring proper security measures.
  • Completing required documentation accurately and on time.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures to safeguard assets and reduce losses.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations.
• Understanding of cash handling and register procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members.
• Ability to read and execute plan-o-gram and merchandising instructions.
• Reliable, well-organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced retail setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous retail or supervisory experience preferred.
