Working as a Front Desk Receptionist at Planet Fitness entails holding a crucial position in fostering a friendly and upbeat atmosphere for our clientele. The primary duty involves providing outstanding customer support throughout the evening hours and overseeing the seamless closure of the club. Tasks include managing member check-ins, addressing inquiries, preserving the facility's cleanliness, and executing closing protocols such as preparing a bank deposit.

Key Responsibilities

• Approach and acknowledge members, potential members, and visitors with a cheerful and welcoming demeanor.
• Offer exceptional customer support by aiding clients with inquiries related to their accounts, addressing issues, and providing assistance whenever required.

Handle all front desk tasks, including:

• Answering phones
• Registering individuals within the system
• Enrolling fresh participants
• Conducting guided tours of the nightclub
• Modifying member account details

• Help maintain the cleanliness and organization within the club by participating in minor cleaning duties and promptly addressing any maintenance concerns.
• Ensure the register is balanced and complete before finalizing the end-of-shift bank deposit responsibilities.
• Adhere to all guidelines and protocols set by the club to promote a secure, hygienic, and non-discriminatory atmosphere.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and leaders to uphold the identity and values of Planet Fitness.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or its equivalent, a GED, is a prerequisite for this position
• Individuals must be at least 18 years of age
• Prior work in customer service is preferred
• Having effective communication and the ability to solve problems efficiently are essential qualities
• Personable, lively, and reliable
• Fundamental computer competencies encompass proficiency in programs like Microsoft Office and software utilized for registering members upon entry
• Suitable for handling tasks independently in the evening
• Consistently punctual, dependable, and maintaining a professional demeanor always
• Enthusiastic about promoting well-being, physical activity, and supporting individuals

Physical Requirements

• The candidate should be capable of standing and walking for prolonged durations throughout the work period
• Regular communication over the phone and face-to-face interactions
• Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a limited basis
• May encounter cleaning agents and chemicals during use
• Capable of fulfilling evening and nocturnal schedules, as well as weekends and holidays when necessary
