About the Role:

We are searching for a General Manager to join our team! The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all gym operations and ensuring exceptional member experiences.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Effectively lead, manage, communicate, develop, and train the staff (Assistant General Managers, Front Desk Associates, Overnight Front Desk Associates, Cleaners, Trainers)

• Address all club-related issues involving employees and members respectfully and timely with remediation plans

• Create and maintain the Judgement Free Zone®

• Promote the Planet Fitness brand within local communities

• Ensure accurate and timely daily deposits

• Monitor compliance with policies and procedures

• Oversee staff performance and effectiveness

• Manage inventory to ensure supplies are ordered and available

• Create and maintain staffing schedules while managing payroll budget

• Conduct self-inspections

• Complete mandatory PF/PFU courses and in-service training

• Foster strong communication and effective working relationships within the team

• Provide feedback to motivate and support staff performance

• Stay current and adhere to company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities

• Strong work ethic and decision-making skills

• Self-starter with minimal supervision needed

• Basic computer, math, and communication skills

• Excellent supervisory skills

• CPR/AED certification (training provided if needed)

• Must be 18 years or older

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Goal-oriented, enthusiastic, and energetic

• Ability to travel to other clubs if required

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Honest, punctual, and reliable

• Strong listening and empathy skills

• Demonstrate diplomacy in interactions

• Preferred: Two years of supervisory or managerial experience in a high-volume setting

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking continually during shifts

• Talking in person or on the phone continually during shifts

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
