The responsibilities of the Fitness Club Manager include supervising the staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing the club's budget effectively. The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, a keen interest in fitness and customer service, and a strong ability to cultivate a positive work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement procedures for appointing, onboarding, instructing, coordinating schedules, and monitoring the performance of club team members.
- Ensure that the level of service provided to members is consistently exceptional by all staff.
- Provide support for front desk operations by welcoming individuals, guiding tours, responding to inquiries, and resolving any issues or complaints.
- Maintain a positive, neat, and supportive club setting.
- Monitor and offer feedback to the team to help them reach the company's service and operational criteria.
- Maintain the timely opening and closure of the gym as scheduled.
- Instruct employees on the current marketing strategies and promotional offers.
- Finalize the management component of new employee onboarding using Paycom.
- Monitor staffing levels to ensure that the club is sufficiently staffed throughout its operational hours.
- Ensure compliance with and demonstrate the company’s policies, protocols, and codes of behavior.
- Supervise the supply purchasing and inventory monitoring for the club.

Minimum Qualifications
- Engaging in work activities with honesty, reliability, and ethical standards.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory position for a period of one year is necessary.
- Proficient in leading, providing top-notch customer care, and managing tasks efficiently.
- Outstanding communication skills in both speaking and writing.
- Foundational knowledge of computers, especially in navigating Microsoft Office and similar platforms.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and move around for at least 75% of the duration of each workday is mandatory.
- The ability to communicate clearly and professionally, either in face-to-face settings or over the phone, is a crucial skill that should be consistently demonstrated throughout the shift.
- There may be instances where lifting objects up to 50 pounds is necessary, but this activity happens infrequently, constituting less than 30% of the job requirements.
