Club Manager

Planet Fitness is hiring for Club Manager

The Club Manager is responsible for the overall management and success of the gym. This includes ensuring an outstanding member experience, maintaining a positive club culture, leading a high-performing team, and meeting financial goals. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, passionate about fitness, customer service, and team development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise club team members.

• Ensure all staff deliver an exceptional and consistent member experience.

• Provide hands-on support with front desk activities: welcoming members, conducting tours, handling inquiries, and resolving concerns.

• Maintain a clean, friendly, and motivating club environment.

• Monitor and coach team performance to meet company service and operational standards.

• Ensure timely opening and closing of the gym as per schedule.

• Train staff on current marketing campaigns and promotions.

• Complete the management portion of new hire onboarding in Paycom.

• Oversee staffing to ensure club coverage during all hours of operation.

• Enforce and model company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.

• Manage club supply ordering and inventory control.

Minimum Qualifications

• Honest, reliable, and ethical work behavior.

• At least 1 year of previous experience in a management or supervisory role.

• Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Basic computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office or similar platforms.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand and walk for at least 75% of each shift.

• Must be able to talk clearly and professionally in person or on the phone for most of the shift.

• Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs (less than 30% of the time).
