Compensation: $50,000.00 per year

Job Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for administering payroll operations across multiple companies and states. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strict confidentiality, and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will manage payroll processing, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and provide outstanding support to employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately compile, prepare, and process weekly payroll for exempt, non-exempt, and bonus-structured employees in compliance with federal and state laws.

• Perform payroll audits and ensure all labor law posters are up to date.

• Train and support employees on payroll and benefits-related topics.

• Audit personnel records related to payroll and communicate changes to employees.

• Process and maintain garnishments, child support orders, liens, and notify employees of any updates.

• Identify areas for improvement and lead related projects to completion.

• Facilitate payroll system training during New Hire Orientation and company mergers/acquisitions.

• Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service while maintaining collaborative relationships with home office and field staff.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Human Resources or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in multi-unit, multi-state payroll processing.

• Minimum of 1 year processing payroll for 500+ employees.

• Strong understanding of payroll systems, garnishments, timekeeping, and benefit administration.

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
