Planet Fitness is hiring for Membership Coordinator

Creating a positive experience for members, prospective members, and visitors at Planet Fitness is the core responsibility of the Membership Coordinator, achieved through exceptional customer service.

Key roles and responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer support to all guests, potential members, and current members who attend.

Handle all front desk related activities including:

• Engage with phone calls in a pleasant manner and aid callers with different types of questions.
• Record attendees in the system.
• New member sign-up.
• Offer guided tours for prospective members.
• Help facilitate required updates to member accounts efficiently.

• Timely and professionally respond to member questions and issues, involving the Assistant Manager or Manager if appropriate.
• Support in the maintenance of a clean and well-kept club environment.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Having a background in customer service is advantageous for this position.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• An intense interest in promoting physical fitness and overall health.
• A constructive and enthusiastic mindset.
• Consistently being prompt and reliable is necessary.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers, exceeding member expectations.
• Capable of empathetic listening and problem-solving to provide effective support.
• Practice diplomacy in all engagements, employing correct language and behavior to navigate conversations effectively.
• A GED or high school diploma of equal value is mandatory for applicants.
• Anyone engaging in this must be 18 years or older.

Physical Demands

• Regular need for staying on one's feet and moving around during work hours.
• Continuous talking during work hours, whether in person or over the phone.
• Should be able to handle lifting tasks involving objects up to 50 lbs in weight.
• There is a chance of encountering hazardous substances periodically during work hours.
